The woofer is even further back.This is why Rane says: Paragraph ivB states: "....long folded or straight horns, resulting in the diaphragm being well behind the rest of the stack....will have to obtain additional delay equipment to align these to the rest of the system."and that is why I said:"Perhaps this wasn't clear to you.I will simplify it: a digital delay is needed to delay the high frequency with respect to the low frequency because the all pass delays in the AC22/23 can't do it.If you can't understand this I can't help you."Considering all the trouble I went to to expain things and posting direct quotes from the Rane manual and a direct link to same I must conclude that none of you get it.If you understood the three quotes I cited then you would not have mentioned page 18 (which is page 13 in the AC22 manual I linked to).What Rane should have said is page 18 (13) is only applicable for delays of less than a 1/4 wavelength at the crossover frequency and may require changing the time constants in the allpass circuit to work properly.
