I once put JBL 2220H into conerhorns - the low qes & higher mass rolloff may have not been fully realized due to Klipsch's folding.

Low bass with 2220H was more distorted than K-33E - Klipsch K33E could play at least 8dB louder than JBL2220H below 50hz - also 2220H looked pretty distorted on O-scope.

Kinda a tradeoff - I'm not sure how "pro" drivers with longer xmax would do - think Klipsch relied on resonance to get bass below the horn's effective cutoff - whaddya say?
