OK... I am rebuilding a pair I found in a warehouse!
No way I can find the serial numbers- they are barely there. The crossovers are the 'Type AA'. I think they are fromthe 70's ???
What can I do to make them better? One woofer has been reconed in 1991, the other appears to be original. Should I recone them both?
I am removing the existing paint job (brown) only to find silver underneath. I am going to repaint them satin black. A bit scruffed up, but they will be fine. One does not have a bottom, but I will replace both of them. I have removed all speakers and have cleaned them, including removing the brown spray paint- now the horns are down to the aluminum!
I have also heard people say that there may be several easy mods that cost next to nothing. Any proven ideas are worth considering!
