A perfectly good solution.....

I ripped most of my CD's with the iTunes / Music App on Mac in the early years decades ago. I chose AIFF or ALAC (both are lossless) and I can't recall ever running into a problem or poor audio quality.

I jumped on the dbpoweramp & AccurateRip bandwagon a bit later. The software is excellent but in hindsight I had no issues and didn't hear any sound quality differences vs. my iTunes rips.

The main practical advantage I can see with dbpoweramp and AccurateRip are for those scuffed-up marginal CD's that might not want to rip on the first try. How many of those do we have? Me, maybe one or two at most.
