Hi,
Consider using a CD/DVD Cleaner Disc. Maybe your laser pickup is dirty.
Also I have used Non Abrasive paste wax to clean and smooth tiny scratches. Similar to the suggestion to use Pledge wax. These 2 suggestions helped many Recordings/DVD's to play properly.
