HATS is an abreviation for High Quality Audio Transmission System , a reclocking system which uses the CEC signal path in the HDMI link to minimise jitter using partial analogue phase loop technology to control the master clock, with a digital filter system to get jitter reduction. What has this to with ARC used to connect an AVR or Soundbar to a TV ?. Re analogue outputs surely this is self explanatory. Anyway I shall not be buying a Oppo 205.
