As reported recently, by Hifi Plus. HRA says its really only 17bit tech with questionable analysis workflows, or something. Yawn.
Basically, it's lossy and never recovers the original signal. So what's the point?
Also, could someone please explain the point of MQA on a disc? If we can fit DSD data onto a disc, why on earth do we need MQA to compress something with lossy tech, then decompress it for us with questionable fidelity?
