Thanks a lot for your input. Others have recommended BDP95, as well. I was also wondering whether the DAC section of the Ayre C5Xe can be accessed for use with computer files. Admittedly, the C5Xe is (i) older technology, and (ii) much more costly that either the BDP95 or the Marantz you mention. However, I do have experience listening to it in the system of a friend, and I do like it a lot.
