Carl, that's some long winded discourse you have provided, has been forwarded to Noel Keywood not Heywood. However I disagree with ALL the experts for 5.1 listening in the Home, I find for me it is essential to have the rear channels at a lower level than the front ones, despite sitting equi-distant between front & rears,furthermore I dislike sub-woofers especially for music, even B & W admit a sub is not required for music. I agree with you re 2L. Crazy arrangement, Ha. fortunately my hearing does not require fixing my brother is 5 years younger and has to use hearing aids.
