I do not have many BIS SACD's but lot's of their RBCD's.
In general they are excellent, I also got a feeling that they did not use too many microphones. I wish that they would reissue some of their classics on SACD, especially the Sibelius violin concerto disc with Kavakos which is still my favorite after all these years, even if the violin was a little distant for some, but it sounds like one was listening further back the concert hall, the volume level could have been a little higher too. I am sure that this could be fixed as it is a fantastic performance and recording.
Another one they should reissue on SACD is the Drottningtolm 4 Seasons
which is still one of my demo disc. After listening to this one find it difficult to listen to other 4 seasons, there is so much passion and energy in the playing.
