Could one guarantee a better sound quality with say a ss amplifier with low measured distortion versus say a valve amp with higher measured distortion? I think personally that there is much more to it than just measured distortions.
If an amplifier is warmer (more distortion) it could benefit the total sound if used in a very bright sounding room?
I never look at equipment distortion specification, I purely make my choice on my personal preferences.
