I was talking both record and playback.
Obviously Sony has some sort of control over DSD software, as there is only one company allowed to build recording equipment that can burn to disc..and at that, it is limited to only being able to play in that player.
The same for the Korg recorder, as I only see it able to send it's DSD info to a Viao computer, SCD-XA5400ES or convert to PCM, which in that case, why bother?It would be nice, if you could purchase a "third party" recorder that could burn a disc, like the Tascam does, and have that disc able to play on any SACD player.
