I have the Korg MR-1000 and have tried it (on the side)during a recent orchestra session. Recording from microphones and line sources, it was pretty amazing how good it sounded, especially at 5.6 MHz. The mic preamps were just a bit noisy, but consider the price and what you're getting!I'm definitely giving the MR-1000 a workout on some more trials. BTW, the included "Audio Gate" software is easy to use on my laptop.
