Totally agree about Frank Rosolino. Fantastic player, but considering what he did, hard to listen to with that in mind. I think the extereme L-R panning was part of the early stereo "effect" they were going for, pretty annoying gimmic, but Contemporary Records had the smoothest, really the best jazz sound of it's time.
Maybe of all time---?
