Marantz 8260/SC3 New Problem

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

I have new problem with Marantz 8260, post SC3 installation. Twenty minutes of improved music, from the SC3, were destroyed by a loud static awful noise from the right front sacd channel. I could hear music underneath the noise, but the noise was quite loud. This is only on the right front sacd channel, 2 channel and 5 channel.
The rbcd play in this channel is fine.
Do any of the tech types here have any idea of where the problem might be eminating from?
Disc reading is now a bit funny, but it manages to occur.
Given that this occurred right after SC3 installation, is that a likely source of the problem even if rbcd playing is perfect?
I've not read about something like this, so I don't know.
Any help is appreciated.
