First, it was recommended to me by a few people on the Cable Asylum. Second, its design seemed "right" for the component I wanted to use it on (no useless third conductor). It is also reasonably priced... actually, it was a birthday gift from my girlfriend! What can I say? My girl likes good sound!

I don't know anything about the other brands you mention, but you may want to ask over in Cables.

The other power cables I use in my system are Shunyata Venoms. These are a little cheaper ($100 ea) than the VH Audio. They work very well for me, but they aren't as nicely built as the VH Audio cord... and are a typical three-conductor design.

The Flavor 3 is still breaking in, and sounding a little better every day!
