Not a very good selection here

There's nothing on your list that was recorded less than 30 years ago, and some of them were not even very good recordings back then. Normally, I don't criticize other's choice of music or favorite recordings or performances, but, if the original poster buys any of your selections and considers them representative of the best SACD's available, they will probably never buy another one.

Certainly, Kind of Blue is the ultimate representation of modern jazz, with very good sonics for its age, and has universal appeal.

The Kleiber Beethoven 5th is a vastly over rated performance, and is a dreadful recording that isn't any more listenable even on SACD. The Szell and Walter stuff on Columbia are mostly excellent, perhaps reference, performances, but the improved sonics are merely acceptable even if you absolutely love the music.

Let It Bleed is one of the great rock recordings, and the sonics are much improved by the DSD remastering and SACD playback, but it's hardly state of the art.

When someone asks a question like this, don't you think you should consider your response more carefully? Granted, the question itself was poorly presented and extremely vague, but this person might be looking for purchasing guidance here from those who place value on excellent sound reproduction. Instead of recommending your personal and somewhat peculiar favorites, perhaps you should try to be more objective and consider the body of knowledge and general consensus regarding what's available and what's considered a "must have". Or, at the very least, try to come up with something (there must be at least one) that was recorded during the current century.

Peace,
Tom E
