Yes, i think it unlikely for a lot of these to come out on SACD. I have been checking out the Japanese paper sleeve remasters, some of them have special processing like K2. I picked up the ELP ones that you mentioned and though I can't compare them to SACD they do sound VERY nice and worth the effort to find them.

One band you didn't mention was Little Feat. Kind of a forgotten band I guess though I still love them. Most of their catalog will be available in papersleeve remaster the end of April. I ordered them off of hmv.co.jp.

SACd is very good but red book CD, done properly can also sound very nice.
