I was wondering why different labels have very different loudness. When I listen to SACDs, I have to turn volume to 10:00 or 11:00 o'clock in order to get a decent sound level in my room. However, when XRCDs are being played, volume at 9:00 o'clock is more than enough.
I wonder if there is a standard loudness signal for all. Or I should put it this way: Wouldn't it a be a good idea to have all formats sound the same in term of loudness. I wonder anyone can enlighten me.
Thanks,
Clarence
