... and, in fact, I just sold my modded Sony SACD player because I felt that the repair costs here in Canada were way too high. I didn't want to always have to ship the player to the US where these costs were more reasonable. (Would have cost over $200 just for shipping.) My fridge recently needed a repair and I discovered that the national repair centre listed in the manual charged twice what a local repair centre wanted. So, what's wrong with educating oneself about what things cost as well as what things should cost?
