..is what I hear when I listen to my "Definitive Edition Remaster" (a laughable moniker) version of 'A Trick Of The Tail'. Don't get me wrong, I really like Genesis. Great music, good memories. Maybe'll pick up some vinyl to compare. And you are right that the mix sounds dated and processed. If that is how it was intended so be it. I bet that the vinyl sounds better than the CD. We'll have to wait for the SA-CD to find out what they have done with their master tapes this time. A better version of glary and bright, or a complety new effort where acoustic guitar sounds actually like one instead of a National guitar played inside an oil drum :-)Jw
