When I started buying vinyl around 1960, the cost of a typical record was a minimum of about $3.50 US, though somtimetimes on a super, going-out-of-business sale, you could get some for less. By 1965 the price was closer to $5.00. Inflation since that time is more than a factor of 10 in many things such as houses, cars, and even high-quality stereo equipment. SACDs for even $35 are not at all expensive in comparison, and they contain more music that an LP. We been spoiled by the low price of CDs and the absurdly low price of used vinyl.Joe
