Have you tried turning it off and unplugging it from the wall? If that doesn't work I'd take a hint from the display and "boot 4" that thing to the curb.Sorry for my ire, but Phillips is one company from which I will never buy a product. I have a Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista SACD which uses the same disk drive as the SACD 1000. It is starting to show signs of failure. Once it dies there will be no way for me to get it repaired. Hopefully, Musical Fidelity will offer me some kind of trade-in or something. $6000.00 for an SACD player that can't be fixed is inexcusable.
