SCD-1 back from repair...

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

Well, turn around was a week, return shipping came back 2 day air and the unit seems to be functioning perfectly. Items replaced were motor, spindle and firmware, along with lube and cleaning. One little scratch on the right side is new but so minor that I cannot complain(and it might have even been there beforehand?).
Unfortunately, my original box has not been returned and I'm a bit pissed about that(as I did request it back). I called Sony repair and was informed that the box has been "recycled"! Also found out no OEM boxes are available. Ugh!!
Anyway, my question is...does the unit have to go through another break-in period before it reaches it's maximum potential?
