You can do it if your minimal skills include soldering/desoldering, removing glued-down surface mount components, devising a custom mounting technique for the oversized SC4 PCB, operating a multimeter, and understanding basic schematics available from Sony. A mistake could cost you a $600 Sony Audio Board. Or Reference Audio Mods or Richard Kern could do it for you.
