Re: DVD-A verses Hybrid SACD compare? anyone IYOP

Thanks for the tips re: DVD-A and "mode selection". I had not bothered considering that the operator/listener might hit the wrong button and get jilted out of some content or quality. I have a DVD-A player and seperate SACD player (on loan) and can't tell the differences (except between publishers & engineering philosophy). I do have to make a simple selection on my Panasonic (XR-70) amp to get it in and out of the overly complicated EQ modes for the various DVD-A verses DVD video formats, but had not noticed any differences ... other than the sound qualiy differences between (usually, but not always) 24bit/44k & 48k video tracks and the much better sounding 24bit/96k & 192k audio. Yes, Virginia, there is a difference, a big difference. (I have considered giving away my 16bit/44k CD collection.)
