Laser alignment procedures for Sony SCD-333ES?

Ive done a few searches here for laser alignment procedures and Ive found some responses for other players. Ive tested those methods but Im not getting any results with the 333ES. It reads cds and sacds fine once it succesfully reads the first disc. If I stop it and try to get it to start up again it has trouble reading the discs again until I give it a disc it recognizes. It will read the TOC but it wont start to play and I can hear the laser searching.
Any ideas or confirmed tricks?
