I think they demonstrate the fact that with proper recording techniques and proper mastering techniques an excellent result can be obtained. I think Chesky records in 24/96 PCM. There is no merit 'as such' in pure DSD or PCM for that matter. Correct me if I'm wrong folks, but it is my impression that most of us here have moved on from the 'pure DSD is better than PCM' debate. And if some people have not they should imho. The whole point is moot. The merit is in the business success - I speculate, but I would think that is partially the reason for Chesky releasing these excellent recordings as SA-CD.Cheers
