in my limited experience. Even though I find SACD sound quality all over the map, the dynamics part seems consistent. Still I feel many SACDs to have 'unreal' soundstage and/or, as somebody mentioned, here blurry treble. I think these bad things happens while mixing. Contrary to some opinion stated here, I find, analog final stereo mixes, just converted to SACD (like RCA LS) sound the best to me. Unfortunately, the original recording itself may not be very good. A good comparison of SACD (without any variables of DSD/PCM conversion in mixing) would be with WaterLily Acoustics titles. These are analog stereo masters converted to CD or SACD.
