and the Krell is superior, but the JLTI comes oh so close! To put this into perspective in the UK you could buy almost 6 JLTI players for the same price as the Krell!!!The JLTI misses out a tad on naturalness, bass depth + tightness, pace and sound stage.... but it is VERY difficult to hear the difference. The JLTI is the second best SACD player that I have heard and I have heard many (it is also the cheapest), although I have to be honest, the Krell is the most expensive SACD player that I have ever listened to.
When I heard the Krell I fell for it immediately, it was better than my 11K CD replay system at the time, with CDs. It just slipped in my system and there was an instant synergy. So your results may vary.
