With multichannel players doing the digital decoding, are there any multichannel preamps that simply as volume controls and input switchers? I have seen one from Audio Refinement, but there must be others. I have been using a Yamaha HT receiver through its MC preamp outputs, but I have to believe that I can get better sound from a separate MC preamp.
