Peter Gabriel has said in a webcast on his website that he's open for a Genesis reunion, but most likely after 2007. If you look at the release schedule of the SACD, the PG-era Genesis SACD releases coincide with any possible tour dates that may include PG. Certainly, it may no sense to have PG on the tour while the band is "promoting" its music from the "Phil era".As for Steve Hackett, I think will be on board once PG is onboard.
As for PG holding things up, that's true to a certain extend. When the 5.1 remix was finished for the "Lamb" SACD about 2 years ago, it was PG who wanted to have the mix "tinkered with" more. That delayed the initial release for a little bit. Of course, it was then put on indefinite delay until now.
