Happens on my modded Denon 3910, and mainly on older DSD recordings. SACD has noise wayyy up in the ultrahigh frequencies that, if not proerly filtered, makes its way down into the audible range. Dan Wright is aware of it and will fix mine, as per his usual great service. Many machines, like the 3910, have 50k and 100k SACD filters, but in my case, neither do the trick, and one of them (don't remember which one) makes it worse. The noise sounds like interstation noise on an FM band, as if the station is quite tuned dead on. Switching to PCM processing ("source direct off") is a work around.
