I was in the downtown Tower last weekend, shopping classical and jazz. Stock was maybe 50% of usual and little replacement stock available, I understand. Discounts then only 20% so pricing still well above online sources - no bargains really. There is a separate SACD bin in classical, about 2/3 full, a fair but not great selection IMHO. I only bought a few pieces.You should try J and R on Park Row downtown NYC(search online), a gigantic store with a huge classical and jazz and other music selection and prices closer to online levels - certainly better than Tower or Virgin. I believe they have a separate SACD bin in their Classical section with a fair selection.
