It's from live concerts; I was there for one of them (but they played the Bartok piano concerto #2 instead of Miraculous Mandarin on the night I went). The Rite of Spring that night was one of the most exciting performances I've ever witnessed (a non-classical-fan friend who went with me keeps asking me when the LA Phil are going to perform Stravinsky again.)I bought the CD recently, but so far I've only listened to it in the car. For what it's worth, it's probably the best-sounding CD I've ever heard in my car, my new favorite Rite of Spring, and a fine souvenir of a great concert.
