New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

I know, I know....

I have no objection to and, in fact, see the advantage of having a digital input in a high quality universal disc player. I was simply playing around in pointing out that I do not see it as required.

Also, it would be nice to have all my CDs and LPs transferred to the hard disk and also have them accessible to me in the listening room. If I woke up tomorrow and, by some magic, it was all accomplished, fine. However, I cannot see the time and effort of ripping the discs and of setting up the appropriate hardware/wiring as a wothwhile activity for me. There's no place in either listening room or in an adjacent room for a server.

Until the day that the models for (and the content of) download/use change, it ain't worth the work.
