$300+ is not a big discount anymore

Your MSRPs are closer to the 47Ai's price than the 45A's. I got one of the very first 45As in Sep 02 for $450. List was $499. They have been available for $399 or less for over a year now. The original 47A was somewhere around $799 list, while the 47Ai (the big brother of the 45A) was somewhere around $1000-1200 list. The price on the 47Ai dropped to around $700-800 after the 59AVi came out.

As for mods, I know Musical Concepts has sort of specialized in the Pioneer players. Their mods are mainly parts swaps and are fairly inexpensive. Also, I think I recall Ric Schultz and Dan Wright have some experience with this machine. Although Dan doesn't work on them anymore, Ric might. Just guessing though.
