I got them, posted pics lower down, and a thread developed. The upshot was: they are bonafide newer versions, MACE2 is OK, Furore is 40% reject rate straight outta the box. No way to tell except to test in situ by mounting it in the unit as per Alex (thanks APLhifi!) I'm waiting for mine to die, and then send it to Alex; if he ever gets bored, perhaps he'll take pity on me :-) It's still working but makes this awful Cheyne-Stokes grinding death rattle noise on start up from standby. I'm not that good with a soldering iron...
