now have definite furore chip issues. Got it at $400 from Tweeters, and somehow lucked out and got 2 yr extended warranty! Hope to have easier time getting either my money back from Tweeter, or some sort of replacement. Anyway, the 1000 sounds bad stock- very congested- so I wasn't using it except as a DVD player. Glad I didn't dump money into it for mods, no matter how good they sound. Phillips lost a customer permanently.
