Happy New Year everyone! Here's my problem- I have a Sony 5 disc SACD/DVD player and was changing cabling around and noticed that I got a little shock when I touched the ground of the interconnect and the chassis of my power amp. It measured around 60 volts AC. OK, it was a cheap unit and I thought it was probably a powersupply problem. So I picked up a Pioneer unit last week and finally opened it up tonight. I was connecting things up in the rack and, low and behold, another shock! It has around 55 volts on the chassis, measuring to the ground plug of the outlet. I know the outlet is good. What gives? Is this normal? Is this safe??
Thanks in advance,
Tom
