Heard it at a dealer over an Omega/B&W Signature 800 system. We listened to CDs mostly. Although I didn't care much for the B&W house sound, I find the sound to be very clear, neutral and musical. There is a great sense of silence and clarity.Compared to Classe's new CD player CDP100 (already a very good player in its own right, which is approximately half the price), the sonic signature is very similar but the SACD2 gives you a bit more of everything. I consider it to be a worthy CD player in its price range and consider its SACD capability almost a freeby.
