Well done. You make it clear why the Krell is so highly prized in Germany. It is the best I've heard, but it never seems to have generated the kind of buzz or raves it deserves here in the states. Probably due--I think--to the fact that the other Krell KAV gear has a reputation for a kind of thinness of presentation and a sharp tone. That general feeling kept me from auditioning the SACD Standard; when I finally heard it earlier this year I was shocked. It came closer to analog than any player I've heard, Redbook or SACD, at any price. I think it's the best product by Krell ever.I salute your ability to capture the essence of the player for your readers, as well as your great enthusiasm and knowledge of audio (nice preamp, too!)
