New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

Some suggestions:

I have the same player but have not had dropouts except on one Living Stereo SACD; I know from other posters that this series has had some quality glitches so I am assuming a bad disc.

An EE might have more insight than I do, but the things I would try would be cheap and easy:

1) mass load the transport a little - blue tack under the tray, along the sides, etc. (but being careful not to get in the way of anything that moves)

2) try sorbothane feet or some other footing - the stock feet are tiny and allow any shelf vibration to shake the enclosure

3) break out a level and shim the feet as necessary

If those steps don't help, another option would be to pick up another unit (e.g. on eBay where they occasionally go on sale) and swap transports, boards, etc. until finding the culprit. You're still spending way less than a Denon, plus you'd have spares for the future. Good luck and please post your findings.
