Fred,You were the one who got me interested in looking at the digital side of the SCD-1/777ES. Without much thought, I had been assuming that Sony probably got the digital part right.
I understand your fear of ceramics – but I found the big ceramic caps to be significantly more effective than the Oscons – although the Oscons were a nice improvement too. I would now say the ceramics are to digital as good film caps are to analog.
