When you select 5.1 mode the multichannel DAC's output six
channels of sound. Assuming the disk you are playing is 5.1
encoded. Teac states in the manual that only the two channel
board can use the up/over sampler.
I will have to check and see if the front R/L channels of the
multichannel 5.1 output are played out the high quality two
channel jacks when in 5.1 mode.
