...have also done the Audiocom mods for the SCD-1/777ES. These also include replacing those regulators you mentioned with the lower-noise Audiocom super-regulators, which is a notable improvement. I'm curious, what disadvantages do you see to using an add-in clock (which requires a slightly different location from that of the stock crystal), other than the need for slightly longer traces?
