The start-up current and/or the current capability during the motor drive actually work is a strong consideration.

We have read many post concern 777/SCD-1 sounds much better either by repeating a track or set to pause after selecting a new track. Personally I select any new track & press pause, untill the machine is engaged to my selected track and wait a few more seconds,then press play.

I find this pheonomenon also occurs in other CD machines therefore the culpit may lie both in the motor pickup ability & the servo control.

Why don't the manufacturers pay more attention on this subject or else electrical engineers simply do not pay enough respect to their mechnical counterparts .....
