I like SACD as much as the next inmate. However, excluding CD's out of one's collection is bordering on the insane. There simply is not the level of software available on SACD to have a well-rounded collection. You could put together a pretty good classical collection, with some glaring holes (how about a decent Beethoven's 9th?), but for other forms of music, SACD is not yet ready for prime time.Let's see, 300 titles at $20 a pop, that's $6,000. For that, I could buy a whole lot of used CD's, probably just under a thousand if I'm careful. I'm just not willing to give up that kind of diversity of software to be a hi-rez purist. And no, I will not listen to Chinese Water Torture Music.
