That's not the way I'm reading it. It seems that most DVD-A players are video players and until recently weren't getting the best from the discs and the comments I've been reading have all been praising SACD.How many actual DVD-A formats exist? 20 and 24 bit quantization, 88.2, 176.4, 96 and 192 kHz sampling? Are they all used by different software manufacturers?
I think a lot of shops stock DVD-As because they mistakenly think they're stocking music videos!
While I made a decision early on to support SACD, I'm not personally knocking DVD-A because I haven't heard it yet. I'm extremely happy with my choice.
Finally, is it true that one has to use a video player to display the DVD-A tracks in order to select them?
