Adi: If we use CD as a standard then SACD noise, as measured, is greater in AUDIBLE range at very least three Players. We should not expect from new format bigger noise in AUDIBLE range (from about 8kHz and up) then that of previous format. Its that simple. Noise is not noticed by us because its heavily filtered. So far you agreed with me. What you did not agree is that these heavy and sharp filtering degrade sound audible as demonstrated by moving filter away from audible range (custom mode) besides hearsay of audio designers. If you believe that heavy filtering does not induce sonic price then fine. What can I do? So, if you right we will be forever with crowded analog stage and all these multitude of passive and/or active parts do not degrade sound. You are the first I met who state time and again that all these crowd is transperent/indifferent to sound, does not create distortions or distortions are helpful because , I guess, they mask other big problem (e.g. noise ditching, even harmonics in tube amps etc) What I am saying that based on information availble to me and I wish very much to know more, the DSD related noise will be dealt in digital domain, thus no heavy filtering will be required, the analog stage will have may be half amount of parts it has now and they will produce the minimum distortions. If we like SACD now, we will love it, hopefully, soon. While my assumptions are valid and not taked from news paper as you suggested but from applied math scientific literature, I can be wrong in my attemps to predict future. This why I am asking the people who perhaps know what is going on in R&D Labs to share with as with prospectives on DSD developments, without proprietary info, particularly if patents been obtained and despite my respect to you, you are not one of them. I don't feel I learned anything new in this round of posts. Future will show us how DSD and DVD-Audio or other hi-rez format will be developed. Good night, and we'll have fun again on other (but also intersting) subjects. Simon
